RE:     FYI/News/Reminders

1)         Each child will be bringing home a short survey to be answered by the                 

            parent/guardian concerning race and ethnicity.   The Illinois State                                                                       

            Board of Education (ISBE) requires us to obtain this data.   The                                          

            Archdiocese of Chicago requested this information, too.   Please return

            the short survey on Friday, September 10, 2010.    Thank You!

2)         The Parish Business Office requests TUITION/CALENDAR SWEEPSTAKE

            money to be taken to the Administration Center ONLY.   Please DO NOT

            send money/checks to school with your child for TUITION/SWEEPSTAKES.

            You can send by US mail/deliver in person/place in the mailbox your

             payments.    Thank You!

3)         Starting in January, 2011,  St. John the Evangelist School will be a PEANUT/

            TREE NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT.  This means No Peanut/Tree Nut    

            Products in our school.    More information will be available at the end of our

            First Trimester.    We have over twelve students in K-8 with this food allergy

            (snacks/lunch/treats will have to be Peanut/Tree Nut FREE throughout the

            school).   Thank You again for your cooperation!

4)         Please re-visit the UNIFORM DRESS CODE  K-8 and other school policies

            in the 2010-2011 School Handbook.   You have a hard copy and it is also on

            the school website.

5)          Next week is our Parent Orientation for K-4 on Tuesday and  5-8 on

           Thursday.    Please follow the time schedule per classroom.   These meetings

           are for PARENTS ONLY.
