Trivia Night:
-
A small group of parents
and teachers attended Trivia Night at St. Margaret Mary to do
research for our own Trivia Night.
-
Many of the participants
came in theme outfits and many brought different kinds of food and
drink.
-
There were 10 categories
each with 10 questions. Each category ranged from sports to alcohol
to cooking, etc.
-
They had 50/50 raffles at
a cost of 1 for $1 and 6 for $5. One problem about their tickets
was that they were in 3 different colors. So when a number was
drawn, people knew right away if there were eliminated.
-
They also had Mulligans,
which meant that you would pay for one answer in a category. The
cost was $10 per category, which is a little steep. We might try
with just $5.
-
There are 5 judges
total. Participants have 2 minutes to turn in their answer sheet
after each category.
-
Participants have only 30
seconds to answer a question in a category.
-
Some questions towards
the end did get very hard that some of the participants at our table
got discouraged. The questions should be hard but not so hard that
no one can answer them.
