ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hi, my name is Carol Meranda.  I am the eighth grade homeroom teacher and I also teach science to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  This is my 14th year at St. John's.  The first 3 years I taught gym part-time.  In 1999, I became the 5th grade teacher.  I moved up to eighth grade 6 years ago.

My husband and I have two daughters.  My oldest, Kathleen is married and working as a Physical Therapist.  My youngest daughter, Lauren, recently graduated from Northern Illinois, majoring in Visual Communications.
