ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hi!  My name is Karen Gallione.  I am the Music/P.E. teacher.  This is my ninth year of teaching Physical Education and my 4th of teaching music.  I have been honored to follow Mrs. Licht's footsteps by teaching music here at St. John's since I myself sang for Mrs. Licht when I was a young girl at St. John's youth choir.  I have added a new tradition at St. John's School by making our Christmas concerts Christmas Musicals!

St. John the Evangelist is my home parish.  My husband, John, and I grew up in Streamwood and my parents were the original "tent people".  John and I have been married tfor 27 years and have three children.  My son, John, is attending Elgin Community College, my daughter, Arielle, is a freshman at University of Illinois, and my youngest daughter is a junior at Streamwood High School.  I continue to cantor, sing in the choir and assist in running Liturgical Dance here at St. John's.
