Greetings to you all! I am Sr. Mary Zachary, O.P., a Dominican
Sister of Springfield, IL. I have served as principal in this
school for eleven years. I encourage you to take some time and
explore our school through this website and see what we have to
offer. “We at St. John the Evangelist School, a Catholic
Institution in the Diocese of Chicago, believe education is a
freedom which supports personal values and contributes to a
responsible human society.”
Our school is a small tri-village neighborhood school
servicing the Bartlett, Schaumburg and Hanover Park areas. We
accommodate a full-day Kindergarten through 8th grades.
We have an exceptional staff and volunteers to be thankful for.
We have a supportive parish and pastoral staff. Our teachers
strive to be the finest in order for our students to do their best.
We have a commendable School Board along with the PTC. Most of
all, we have encouraging and nurturing parents.
We have been awarded with countless blessings; God has blessed
us not only spiritually, but financially as well. Thanks to
our school and parish families, we have been able to purchase a
variety of necessary school items through the different fundraisers
and have been able to add a new face lift to the inside/outside of
our school. Some of our
primary grade classrooms have been re-tiled.
The computer lab was given a complete makeover! Adding to it
32 Gateway computers donated by St. Ignatius Prep Academy in
Chicago. In May,
Streamwood Public Works also donated bushes and a tree from Parkway
Bank to decorate
the front and back sides of the school.
Once again, THANK YOU everyone. St. John the Evangelist
School would not be what it is today without you and your time,
talent, and treasure. May God continue to be with us all and
may He protect us in the remaining years to come. I hope that
you enjoy the rest of your tour of St. John the Evangelist School
website and remember…
“It is a great day to be a TIGER!”
Sincerely,
Sr.
Mary Zachary, O.P.
