Greetings to you all! I am Sr. Mary Zachary, O.P., a Dominican Sister of Springfield, IL.  I have served as principal in this school since 1997.  I encourage you to take some time and explore our school through this website and see what we have to offer.  “We at St. John the Evangelist School, a Catholic Institution in the Diocese of Chicago, believe education is a freedom which supports personal values and contributes to a responsible human society.”

Our school is a small tri-village neighborhood school servicing the Bartlett and Hanover Park areas.  We accommodate a full-day Kindergarten through 8^th grades.  We have an exceptional staff and volunteers to be thankful for.  We have a supportive parish and pastoral staff.  Our teachers strive to be the finest in order for our students to do their best.  We have a commendable School Board along with the PTC.  Most of all, we have encouraging and nurturing parents. 

We have been awarded with countless blessings; God has blessed us not only spiritually, but financially as well.  Thanks to our school and parish families, we have been able to purchase a variety of necessary school items through the different fundraisers.  This year, the Parent Teacher Club (PTC) purchased the Illinois MAP Test for our school.  The MAP test will allow us to test each student during the trimesters in Math/Reading.
